Seacoast Christian Home Educators Association (SCHEA), a home school support group in Rochester NH, is hosting a Legislative Information meeting on Monday, February 14, from 6:30 - 8:00 pm. We meet at Grace Community Church in Rochester NH.

State Reps. Laura Jones, Jim Parison and State Sen. Fenton Groen will be present to explain their proposed homeschool legislation to the group and will field questions. Additionally, Attorney John Anthony Simmons will be present to answer questions about the potential legal ramifications of the three bills from the perspective of a lawyer (you may recognize his name as the lawyer representing the homeschooling mother in the recently heard NH Supreme Court case In the Matter of Kurowski and Kurowski/Voydatch. Our hope is that we, as home educators, will be able to educate ourselves to the underlying rationales of the three bills, their similarities and differences, and then be able to make informed decisions as the bills move through the legislative process. It looks to be an evening of LOTS of information, so we'll begin promptly at 6:30!
