Speaker Bios
Steve and Teri Maxwell

Beginning their homeschooling adventure in 1985, Steve and Teri Maxwell are the parents of eight, ages thirteen to thirty-three. Their five homeschool graduate children are now wage-earning adults while the other three remain active homeschool students.

Steve and Teri have authored Managers of Their Homes, Managers of Their Chores, Managers of Their Schools, Keeping Our Children's Hearts, Homeschooling with a Meek and Quiet Spirit, Preparing Sons to Provide for a Single-Income Family, Redeeming the Time, and Just Around the Corner (Vols. 1&2).

Steve and Teri led their local homeschool support group for ten years. In addition, Steve was president of the Kansas state homeschool association for two years.

Christopher Maxwell Christopher is 31 years old and was homeschooled from 2nd grade through high school. During his teen years he started and ran a successful lawn mowing business. He now works full time with the family consulting business: Communication Concepts. Most of his work involves financial consulting with companies, designing web sites, and photography (www.ChristopherMaxwell.com). Christopher is the webmaster for several commercial web sites.
Sarah Maxwell Sarah is 28 years old and graduated from the Maxwell's homeschool in 2000. She enjoys working at home managing the family's Titus2.com ministry. Sarah has written five children's books: Summer with the Moodys, Autumn with the Moodys, Winter with the Moodys, Spring with the Moodys, and Summer Days with the Moodys. She also delights in helping her family and other homemaking tasks.
  Linda Abel has been homeschooling her two children, ages 13 & 15, for 10 years, and has her BS in Education. She is involved in the First Agape Homeschool Coop, and serves as Coordinator for their Science/geography/art fair.
  Bethany Barnosky is a NH certified math teacher, a homemaker, and a homeschooling mom. Her business, Candle Star Educational Services, has been providing professional services to homeschoolers since 2003.
  Lynn Bolser has homeschooled for 10 years and has a Master’s Degree in Education. She and her husband, Scott, live in Manchester with their 2 children, ages 15 & 13. Lynn is a certified teacher and serves NH home educators by performing portfolio evaluations and providing curriculum counseling.
  Debbie Haire has been homeschooling Gabrielle (22) and Tabitha (17) for 17 years. She has been the Coordinator of Valley Christian Home Educators since 1994. In addition, she is a worship leader at her church. She and her husband live in Bartlett, NH.
  Philip Hills has been a part of CHENH since it was founded and currently serves as vice-president. Philip and his wife Brenda have four children and have been home educating since 1990. He works as a computer engineer and has taught college level courses at Boston University and NH Technical College. He is also a teaching elder at Lakes Region Bible Fellowship.
  Cindy Powers has been homeschooling her 4 children for 12 years. As a homeschool mom and owner of Brain-athon Emporium, Cindy’s passion is to find books, software and games that truly challenge our children’s critical thinking skills. Cindy and her family product test materials from a variety of publishers and manufacturers for FUN and effectiveness in truly engaging our children in the learning process.
  Cathy Schrowang is in her 10th year of homeschooling her two children, and has been a part of the CHENH convention committee for the past 5 years. She has a BS in Physical Therapy.
  Paul Veit is a graduate of Nyack College and Denver Conservative Baptist Seminary. He is pursuing on-going paleontological training at the Mt. Blanc Fossil Museum. He is ordained in the Christian Missionary Alliance and is licensed as an evangelist. He is the Founder and Director of Declare God’s Wonders, Inc., an evangelistic ministry, and the New England Creation Education Center.
