Jim has served on the CHENH Board of Governors since 1991. As Secretary in the early nineties he maintained a bulletin board and developed the first CHENH website. During most of Jim's career on the Board he has been involved in legislative action, watching bills, educating our membership and organizing parents across the state to protect our right to homeschool.
Jim works as an engineer in a research lab and plays piano at his home church. He & his wife Margaret began homeschooling the oldest of their six children in 1988 and plan to "graduate" in 2010.

Dave Wheeler was recently a member of the NH Governors Executive Council, a group of five people who approve judicial appoinments, etc. Dave served as a NH state Representative and then as state Senator for 10 years. On several occasions, Dave was personally responsible for guiding homeschool friendly legislation through the House and Senate. One recent example is his involvement in the bill which eliminated the August notification requirement. He rewrote the bill giving parents the ability to immediately remove kids from school at any time and allowing parents to notify thirty days after beginning their home school. Now, Dave works hard printing and mailing legislative alerts and continues to provide valuable advice, especially on legislative matters. With his wife, Dave has home educated their four children. Dave is a strong advocate for home educating all the way through high school.

David Menard has been serving on the Board of Governors since 2007. His varying roles on the board have included secretary, annual meeting host, convention co-coordinator and promotions. Currently, David is seeking the Lord's direction to rally fathers together as they follow God's call on their lives to lead their families with vision and boldness. David continues to pursue his training in leadership through his contact with HSLDA and other home education organizations.
David and his wife Tracy will welcome their seventh child in April. They have been home educating their children for eight years. David is self-employed, allowing him the opportunity to be closely involved in the discipleship of his children. David is currently training for and pursuing the role of elder in a home church in Maine, trusting the Lord's timing to begin a home fellowship in his own community.

Dan was just voted onto the Board of Governors in 2009 and will be responsible for our web site and email communications.
He and his wife Linda were board members of Homeschoolers of Maine before moving out of state. They have 6 children, 5 of whom are currently being home educated and are involved in a small home-church type group where Dan takes part in the teaching rotation.
