Dan was voted onto the Board of Governors in 2009 and was initially responsible for our web site and email communications. In 2010 he was voted in as the new president.

He and his wife Linda were board members of Homeschoolers of Maine before moving out of state. They have 6 children, 5 of whom are currently being home educated and are involved in a small home-church type group where Dan takes part in the teaching rotation.

Philip has been a part of CHENH since it was founded, maintaining the membership database. During the early years he was also responsible for sending out information packs to new homeschoolers. He officially joined the Board of Governors in 1992 and has been active in the annual convention, serving in such areas as registration, food service, and speaking. Since 2005 he has served as the vice president and was acting treasurer for five years.
Philip works as a computer engineer and is a teaching elder in his church. He and his wife Brenda have been homeschooling their four children since 1990.

David Menard has been serving on the Board of Governors since 2007. His varying roles on the board have included secretary, annual meeting host, convention co-coordinator and promotions. Currently, David is seeking the Lord's direction to rally fathers together as they follow God's call on their lives to lead their families with vision and boldness. David continues to pursue his training in leadership through his contact with HSLDA and other home education organizations.

David and his wife Tracy will welcome their seventh child in April. They have been home educating their children for eight years. David is self-employed, allowing him the opportunity to be closely involved in the discipleship of his children. David is currently training for and pursuing the role of elder in a home church in Maine, trusting the Lord's timing to begin a home fellowship in his own community.

Jim has served on the CHENH Board of Governors since 1991. As Secretary in the early nineties he maintained a bulletin board and developed the first CHENH website. During most of Jim's career on the Board he has been involved in legislative action, watching bills, educating our membership and organizing parents across the state to protect our right to homeschool.

Jim works as an engineer in a research lab and plays piano at his home church. He & his wife Margaret began homeschooling the oldest of their six children in 1988 and plan to "graduate" in 2010.

Scott was elected as a board member in 2010. He and his family have been handling registration for conventions since 2009. Scott and Lori were married in 1993 and have five children. They began homeschooling when their oldest child turned five years old. Scott became self employed in January of 2010 doing on line sales. He is a member of the budget committee, a trustee, and a Bible study leader for his church.

Mike is one of our new board members having been elected in 2010.
